Endotracheal Tube Storage

Obtain an over the door shoe storage device and place a different size ET tube in each shoe slot.

Red Rubber Catheter Storage

Obtain ~2-inch PVC piping, cut to an appropriate length, with one section for each size of catheter. Paint the tubes to fit your hospital décor. Attach them side by side with a strong adhesive. Drill holes in the top tube and use string, ribbon, or picture hanging wire to hang the tubes on the wall. Then insert the red rubber catheters into the tubes, grouping them by size.

Seizure Watch Tips

.Obtain bells from any craft store. Replace the collar of a seizure patient with stretch gauze looped through the bells. The bells will sound off when the patient is having a seizure. The bells can also be sewn into collars.

Tailor-Made Ice Packs

Fill a secure sealable bag of the desired size with 2/3 tap water, 1/3 isopropyl alcohol and then a few drops of urine sediment stain for color.
