Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures
Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and administer medications and vaccines
Conduct and process diagnostic tests including bloodwork, urinalysis, and radiographs
Monitor and care for anesthetized patients during surgical procedures
Maintain accurate patient medical records using practice management software
Educate and communicate with pet owners regarding treatment plans and home care instructions
Ensure exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment are clean, stocked, and properly sanitized
Requirements:
Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, surgical prep, and patient recovery
Strong phlebotomy and laboratory diagnostic skills
Ability to safely handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, client-friendly demeanor
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a busy clinic setting
